Your responsibilities as the Senior VMware & Zerto Migration Specialist:
- Lead infrastructure discovery, migration planning and technical workshops.
- Develop migration runbooks, wave plans, cutover schedules and rollback procedures.
- Deliver workload migrations across VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter environments.
- Configure and manage Zerto Virtual Replication (ZVR) and Virtual Protection Groups (VPGs).
- Execute migration cutovers, failover/failback testing and recovery validation.
- Support disaster recovery readiness and business continuity activities.
- Coordinate networking, storage and infrastructure transitions across multiple teams.
- Produce HLDs, LLDs, migration documentation and technical reports.
As a successful Senior VMware & Zerto Migration Specialist, you will have:
- 5+ years experience delivering enterprise infrastructure migrations.
- Extensive VMware experience including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS and vMotion.
- Proven hands-on experience administering and configuring Zerto.
- Experience migrating workloads across cloud, hosted and on-premise environments.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery, resilience and business continuity.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, Veeam, networking and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience working within medium to large enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.
Desirable Certifications
VMware VCP-DCV or VCAP; Zerto Certified Professional (ZCP); Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect; ITIL Foundation; PRINCE2 Practitioner
