Senior VMware / Nutanix Engineer

Summary: Seeking a senior VMware/Nutanix Engineer with extensive hands-on experience to design, deploy, optimize, and support enterprise-scale virtualized infrastructure. The role requires leading infrastructure initiatives, ensuring performance, scalability, and business continuity. The position is remote but candidates must be located near San Diego and willing to travel to Las Vegas bi-monthly or quarterly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware and Nutanix technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize VMware/Nutanix infrastructure solutions
• Lead migrations, upgrades, and new deployments across data centers
• Manage system performance, scalability, and capacity planning
• Implement DR and HA strategies to ensure uptime and resilience
• Integrate on-premises and cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure where needed
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation
• Provide operational support and resolve escalated issues
