Summary: The Senior UX Designer role at Blue Acorn iCi involves leading UI design projects informed by UX research and collaborating with a design team to enhance user experiences. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in UX and Information Architecture, demonstrating strong design skills and the ability to manage projects effectively. A portfolio review is required to showcase relevant work. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a UI design project based on UX findings and insight
- Collaborate and delegate with design team to plan approach for both full-site and feature-level execution
- Create user interface designs and prototypes based on quantitative research and UX input
- Conduct research in order to develop a strategic approach to a strong information Architecture
- Elicit constructive feedback from clients and interpret that feedback into design solutions
- Design flexible UI informed by clients brand guidelines
- Research, formulate, execute and deliver standard web usability deliverables including personas, heuristic reviews, formal usability tests and card sorts
- Perform competitive analysis of client's competitors websites
- Design and develop information architecture designs and documentation
- Develop, present, defend and iterate responsive wireframes to meet client needs
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete client projects
- Pick up a project mid-flight and complete it
- Document designs to meet the needs of front-end development teams and collaborate with developers during implementation
- Perform visual quality assurance on finished web product prior to customer delivery
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a user interface designer, interaction designer, visual designer, or similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong conceptualization ability and visual communication skills
- Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detail
- Ability to create wireframes and visual design comps
- Proficient with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
- Able to integrate UX into Agile development practices
- Self-motivated, responsive, and dedicated to customer success
- Knowledge of Usability and Information Architecture
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and manage change effectively
- Knowledge of eCommerce
- Substantial experience in usability testing, user experience design, and visual design for responsive web
- Understanding of design and usability problems associated with large enterprise and eCommerce websites
- Ability to remain flexible and context switch across multiple engagements
- Proven experience with Sketch; version control/Abstract experience is a plus
- Experience working with an Agile UX team
