Summary: Vaco is seeking a Senior Product Designer for a remote consulting role with a prominent retail organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and/or apply and deliver high-quality UI and interaction patterns for both web and mobile applications.
  • Translate product requirements into clean, production-ready designs with clear usability and interaction logic.
  • Build, maintain, and extend components in Figma across enterprise, team, and project-level libraries.
  • Work within an established design system while identifying gaps and creating scalable patterns.
  • Deliver high-fidelity designs ready for engineering handoff with minimal ambiguity or rework.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders, product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility, speed, and alignment.
  • Apply UX fundamentals such as usability, hierarchy, and accessibility without owning research or testing.
  • Ensure consistency across web and mobile experiences especially within complex, workflow-driven interfaces.
  • Present and defend design decisions clearly with a focus on practical outcomes and business impact.
  • Operate independently in a high-output environment with significant production and delivery ownership.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated UI, product, or interaction design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped, production-level work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma including the ability to create, structure, and scale custom components in addition to leveraging established design system libraries.
  • Proven experience working within enterprise design systems, with a strong understanding of atomic design principles and how to build from foundational elements through scalable component systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain clean, well-structured, and highly organized design files that support collaboration, reuse, and efficient engineering handoff.
  • Experience designing for both responsive Web and advanced Mobile application interfaces with a strong grasp of platform-specific interaction patterns and constraints.
  • Demonstrated understanding of usability, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility fundamentals.
  • Prior experience designing for B2B, eCommerce, or transactional platforms highly desired.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, product-driven environments with high ownership and output expectations.

Position Summary
