Role Overview
We are seeking an active SC-cleared Senior Test Analyst to lead quality assurance for a high-priority Data Warehouse migration project within a UK public sector department.
The role focuses on validating the migration from SAS to Informatica ETL pipelines, ensuring high data quality, robust system integration, and reliable performance across complex enterprise data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy and Execution: Prepare comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases for System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- ETL Pipeline Testing: Perform end-to-end testing on Informatica ETL pipelines, validating data transformations during SAS-to-Informatica migration.
- Data Management and Quality: Prepare, manage, and govern test data, conducting interface testing, data quality validations, and load testing.
- Sign-off Governance: Own test reporting and deliver formal test sign-offs for production readiness.
Required Skills And Experience
- Mandatory Technical Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (v10.6 strongly preferred).
- Strong SQL capabilities with Oracle databases.
- Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting for test automation and pipeline verification.
- Direct experience with SAS to Informatica ETL migration within a Data Warehouse context.
- Mandatory Certifications / Clearance
- Active SC Clearance.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or higher).
- Azure AI Fundamentals (or practical awareness of ML/AI services).
Desirable Experience
- Big Data and Cloud Processing: Hands-on experience with AWS (EMR, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, CloudWatch) and PySpark/Python for large-scale batch processing.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with automated testing pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Git/GitLab workflows.
- Data Engineering and Governance: Experience in dimensional modeling, data-quality management, and basic Power BI for end-to-end flow validation.
- Delivery Methodologies: Working in Agile public sector environments using Jira and Confluence.
