Summary: The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for developing and executing test plans, managing defects, and validating data flow in a remote work environment. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of quality software while adhering to established testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SDLC, mainframe testing, and API testing tools, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with tools like Jira and qTest are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and issues to development teams, working with developers to resolve problems.
  • Validate data flow between mainframe systems and other interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Test supervisor, project managers, Product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test results and progress reports.
  • Provide support to end-users during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Mainframe testing, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
  • Experience with API testing tools.
  • Salesforce testing experience is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian's Jira tool.
  • Knowledge of qTest.
  • Experience in complete defect cycle and defect management process.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal/state/local rules, regulations, statutes, and procedures in Child Support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Test planning and execution: Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Defect management: Identify, document, and report defects and issues to development teams. Work with developers to resolve problems and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Data validation: Validate data flow between mainframe systems and other interfaces.
  • Collaboration: Work with Test supervisor, project managers, Product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test results and progress reports.

Job Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.

Good knowledge and experience with Mainframe testing including testing with technologies likeCOBOL,JCL,andDB2,analyzing batch job results, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

Good knowledge and experience with API testing tool.

Any Salesforce testing experience is an added advantage.

Experience working in an Agile environment.
