Senior Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Louisville, KY that is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
* Senior Systems Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure solutions across Windows Server platforms and Active Directory
* Manage and optimize virtualization environments using VMware and Citrix technologies
* Administer and support Cisco UCS blade systems and NetApp storage solutions
* Oversee data protection and disaster recovery strategies using Rubrik
* Lead automation initiatives using Ansible and PowerShell to streamline operations and improve system reliability
* Support and enhance collaboration tools and services within the Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem
* As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of critical services
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs for clinical and business applications
* Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards and security protocols

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
* Strong expertise in: Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Cisco UCS; NetApp, Rubrik, Citrix, M365; Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, PowerShell, and infrastructure automation
* Proven experience in managing virtualized environments and enterprise storage
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Strong understanding of IT security best practices, especially in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, NetApp NCDA, Cisco CCNP, Citrix CCA/CCP, etc.)
* Experience in a healthcare IT environment or with HIPAA-compliant systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
