Take ownership of an existing Go-based proof of concept and mature it into secure, maintainable, production-ready proxy software.
Core Responsibilities
- Review and rapidly understand an existing proxy codebase.
- Develop traffic-management, failover, connection-draining, recovery, telemetry, and operational-control capabilities.
- Build reliable software for persistent TCP connections and stateful traffic movement.
- Resolve defects and improve performance, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
- Build APIs and integration points for automation and operational tooling.
- Own unit, component, and integration testing as part of development.
- Participate in code reviews, SDLC integration, vulnerability remediation, performance certification, and production support.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve engineering productivity and quality.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on development experience in Go is mandatory.
- Linux systems programming, socket programming, concurrency, multithreading, and network services.
- TCP/IP and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- High-performance, highly available, long-running services.
- Automated testing, debugging, profiling, secure coding, and CI/CD practices.
