Job Summary
We are looking for a customer-centric Senior Software Engineer – iOS who embraces Lean and Agile practices.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Product Designers, and technical stakeholders to build, test, and release high-quality iOS applications.
This role will focus on developing production-grade native iOS applications used by millions of drivers and vehicles globally, with an emphasis on scalability, architecture, quality, and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop native iOS applications from conception through production for millions of users worldwide.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers.
- Participate in reviewing and evaluating product designs, technical architectures, and software solutions.
- Provide engineering-focused feedback on product and architectural decisions.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies and products.
- Write and contribute to high-quality technical documentation.
- Build and ship production-grade software in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.
- Continuously improve application quality, performance, reliability, and customer experience.
Required / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in native iOS application development.
- Strong expertise in Swift and the iOS development ecosystem.
- Deep experience with mobile frontend application architecture, including:
- Modular application design
- State management
- Navigation strategies
- Strong understanding and implementation of software testing practices.
- Experience working in Agile / Lean development environments.
- Experience building and shipping production-grade software or services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Product, and Design stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence peers and work toward win/win solutions across teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience working in CI/CD environments.
- Experience with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Observability, Support, and Maintenance.
Experience with:
- Local debugging
- Production issue tracing
- Performance testing
- Load testing
- Strong Swift iOS development skills.
- In-depth experience designing user interfaces with SwiftUI.
- Experience with Fastlane and CI scripting.
- Strong understanding of Apple platform architectures, including:
- MVVM
- MVC
- Other modern architectural patterns
- Working knowledge or practical experience with Composable Architecture (TCA)
- Ruby knowledge for scripting.
- Experience with Tuist and/or Bazel build systems.
- Familiarity with current mobile security practices.
- Experience working with various software architectural patterns.
- Strong communication and enterprise-level stakeholder influence skills.
- Experience building enterprise-scale mobile applications for large user bases.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting global software products.
