Summary: The Senior Scrum Master is responsible for guiding teams in Agile methodologies and ensuring successful project implementation across complex programs involving multiple departments and vendors. This role requires facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will also track progress and communicate metrics to project leadership while aligning team objectives with organizational goals. Strong experience with Agile frameworks and project management tools is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and processes.
- Protect the team from external disruptions and facilitate smooth sprint execution.
- Collaborate with leadership and product owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress.
- Track and communicate team progress and metrics to project leadership.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables.
- Support alignment of teams with organizational goals and objectives.
- Promote a collaborative environment and resolve conflicts efficiently.
Key Skills:
- At least 8 years of experience utilizing management tools such as Jira as a Scrum Master.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in Safe.
- Ability to facilitate adequate sprint planning, execution, and post-review.
- Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and managing sprint boards, backlog management, queries, tasks, user stories, dashboards, and reports.
- Understanding of DevOps Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, and other agile project management products.
- Ability to produce burndown charts based on a variety of measures.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to remove obstacles and resolve conflicts within teams.
- Scrum Master Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)). Agile Safe certification is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.

These are large, complex programs and projects involving multiple departments at the client, as well as different outside vendors and sub-vendors depending upon the program/project.
