Summary: The Senior SCADA Support Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite support for SCADA, telemetry, metering, and compliance applications, ensuring high system availability. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents while coordinating with various stakeholders for operational support. Additionally, the engineer will conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability. This position requires a strong technical background in SCADA systems and metering operations support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end onsite support for SCADA, telemetry, metering, and compliance applications ensuring high system availability
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, system alerts, and data issues within defined SLAs
  • Ensure smooth functioning of metering operations, including handheld device sync, docking, and batch processing
  • Perform proactive system monitoring, health checks, and preventive maintenance to avoid recurring issues
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations (API, file-based, batch interfaces) across enterprise systems
  • Coordinate with business users, field teams, and vendors for timely issue resolution and operational support
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and knowledge base articles for support processes and issues
  • Support application deployments, patches, and upgrades in coordination with technical teams
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements in gas inspection workflows
  • Participate in on-call support shift coverage as required for business continuity
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability and support efficiency

Key Skills:

  • Functional Technical knowledge of SCADA systems, telemetry data flow, and field device communication
  • Experience in Metering operations support (data handling, issue troubleshooting)
  • Proficiency in handheld device management - docking, synchronization, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in batch job monitoring and failure resolution
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server and application support
  • Ability to troubleshoot system application issues using logs and monitoring tools
