Senior QA Engineer (JAVA, RestAPIs, Cucumber) - Remote - August

For our international client, we are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer.

You will be supporting the client in the maintenance and enhancement of their automated JAVA framework and will drive their quality assurance strategy across multiple platforms, frameworks and teams.

You will be ensuring quality across APIs, integrations and event-driven systems by designing robust automated tests, validating complex business flows and working closely with developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Experience with Cucumber, RestAPIs and JAVA framework is a must have.

Tasks

• Design, implement and maintain automated tests across APIs & integrations
• Maintenance and enhancement of client's automated JAVA framework, reusable testing utilities and engineering standards
• Support client in driving their quality assurance strategy across multiple platforms, frameworks and teams
• Drive QA excellence
• Script APIs
• Functional testing of APIs, Validate API contracts, message transformations, payload mappings
• Act as owner for testing framework and drive/deliver enterprise-wide quality improvements
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners
• Support CI/CD pipelines by ensuring automated tests are reliable, maintainable and suitable for continuous delivery
• Identify quality risks
• Investigate defects

Requirements

• Long-term project experience as Senior QA Engineer
• JAVA framework focus, JAVA development
• Strong experience in API and integration testing
• Project experience in API automation using RestAssured
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber/BDD
• Strong experience with JSON/XML
• Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle
• Agile/Scrum experience with focus in DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
• Preferred: Experience testing distributed or event-driven systems
• Highly beneficial: Kafka/Confluent/Kong/Databricks experience
• Project experience with Jmeter- preferred but not a must
• Project experience in large international organisations
