Summary: The Senior Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of complex, multi-million-pound projects in the EV charging sector, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. This role requires significant experience in high voltage electrical solutions and project management, acting as a key liaison between clients, partners, and internal teams. The position is remote with regular site travel, and it offers a contract outside of IR35 regulations. The role is expected to last for three months, with potential for extension or permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of major projects, delivering on time, on budget and to quality standards
- Own P&L reporting across your project portfolio
- Act as the escalation point for clients, partners and internal teams on delivery, finance and contract matters
- Define and embed project controls, governance and change management processes
- Maintain accurate programmes of work including milestones, scope, resource forecasting and financial management
- Work closely with the commercial team on lessons learned, feedback and cost catalogue accuracy
- Manage cross programme dependencies and maintain the dependency log
- Attend site when required to troubleshoot or quality check
- Mentor and support junior members of the Major Projects PM team
Key Skills:
- Experience working for an ICP or DNO at EHV voltage levels (33kV to 132kV)
- Project Management qualification or equivalent experience (Prince2, APM or PMI)
- Background in electrical utilities or construction
- Experience working alongside design teams and in tendering
- Competence in MS Project or equivalent PM software
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points)
- SMSTS qualification (desirable)

Working across high and low voltage electrical solutions up to 400kV, they deliver major infrastructure projects spanning EV charging, renewables and commercial energy networks. The Role: We are looking for a Senior Project Manager focussing on Major Projects to take ownership of a portfolio of complex, multi million pound projects from inception through to completion. You'll be a key figure in the business, sitting at the intersection of operations and commercial and acting as the point of escalation for clients, partners and internal teams alike.
