Project Manager (Senior Manager)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Senior Manager) to join our direct state client to lead complex enterprise cloud and infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee large-scale IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of cloud technologies, and the ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.

• Coordinate project activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership.

• Manage cloud migration initiatives, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting strategies.

• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues affecting scope, schedule, or budget.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies or manage traditional Waterfall project activities, depending on project requirements.

• Monitor project performance using established metrics and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.

• Coordinate activities in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, application, and DevOps teams throughout project delivery.

• Support change management, communication planning, and stakeholder engagement.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines.

• Promote continuous improvement in project management processes, governance, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor''''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3–5 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years managing cloud or infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience successfully delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects involving multiple teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Familiarity with cloud migration methodologies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting.

• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and full project delivery lifecycles.

• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Planner.

• Experience coordinating projects across hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud environments.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.

• Knowledge of networking, cloud security, and data migration best practices.

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, is preferred.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.

• Adaptability and sound decision-making skills in rapidly changing environments.
