Summary: A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is seeking Senior Project Managers with expertise in International Data Centre or High-Performance Computing (HPC) projects for a 6-month remote contract. The role demands strong leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to manage complex projects and significant international travel. Candidates should have a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects and be adept at stakeholder management. The position is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large-scale International Data Centre or HPC projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget using various project management methodologies.
• Accountable for the commercial outcomes of the project.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to set, understand, and achieve expectations.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths and experience.
• Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of goals.
• Develop leadership skills and attend conferences/training as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Skills:

• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in managing International Data Centre or HPC projects.
• Understanding of data centre components, including servers, storage, networking, cooling, and power systems.
• Familiarity with HPC environments and technologies.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Qualifications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certified Data Centre Project Management - CDCPM/CDCMP desirable, not essential.
