Summary: The role of Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager involves leading a significant IT Transformation Programme for a client in the utilities sector, facilitated by an IT consultancy. This position requires hands-on management of multiple projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver key initiatives effectively. This is a remote position with a contract duration of 9 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a complex IT transformation programme across multiple workstreams
- Deliver high-profile projects including SharePoint migration and rollout of 20,000+ laptops
- Drive delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with business goals and managing project dependencies
- Collaborate with technical teams, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders for successful execution
- Provide clear reporting, risk management, and governance across the programme
- Ensure the programme remains within scope, budget, and time constraints
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager in enterprise IT transformation
- Strong delivery track record in hardware rollouts, cloud-based migrations, and network infrastructure projects
- Experience in remote/hybrid environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills
- Utilities sector experience desirable, but not essential
- Previous consultancy experience is advantageous
