Summary: The role of Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager involves leading a significant IT Transformation Programme for a client in the utilities sector, facilitated by an IT consultancy. This position requires hands-on management of multiple projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver key initiatives effectively. This is a remote position with a contract duration of 9 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a complex IT transformation programme across multiple workstreams
  • Deliver high-profile projects including SharePoint migration and rollout of 20,000+ laptops
  • Drive delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with business goals and managing project dependencies
  • Collaborate with technical teams, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders for successful execution
  • Provide clear reporting, risk management, and governance across the programme
  • Ensure the programme remains within scope, budget, and time constraints

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager in enterprise IT transformation
  • Strong delivery track record in hardware rollouts, cloud-based migrations, and network infrastructure projects
  • Experience in remote/hybrid environments
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills
  • Utilities sector experience desirable, but not essential
  • Previous consultancy experience is advantageous
