Senior Product Manager - Public Sector Remote £450 per a day 6 Months Talent Consulting is a distinguished boutique consultancy celebrating 25 years of excellence in crafting high-impact digital solutions. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager to join our team, embedded directly within one of our exclusive government client accounts on a critical contract engagement. As a Senior Product Manager, you will take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from strategic vision through to delivery and iteration, ensuring maximum public value is achieved. This is an opportunity to lead the development of a product that directly impacts citizens and supports key public sector objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate and communicate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns precisely with overarching public sector goals, policy objectives, and critical user needs.
  • Be the accountable owner for ensuring the product delivers quantifiable maximum value to citizens, senior stakeholders, and internal government users.
  • Collaborate extensively with senior government officials, cross-agency teams, and external partners to synthesize complex policy requirements into clear, actionable product priorities.
  • Own, prioritize, and strategically maintain the product backlog, ensuring features are meticulously defined (as user stories or epics), prioritized using clear rationale, and mapped to strategic objectives.
  • Partner with Agile delivery teams, guiding the decomposition of complex scope into manageable, actionable increments, and supporting effective ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement).
  • Rigorously ensure the service meets and adheres to GDS standards, accessibility requirements, inclusivity principles, and all relevant government digital compliance frameworks.

The successful Senior Product Manager will possess the following essential experience and skills:
