Role Overview
A Senior Product Manager is required for our public sector client to lead a specific pilot programme as a focused product and delivery proposition.
You will translate user and business needs into an agreed roadmap and prioritised backlog, coordinate supplier delivery and demonstrate whether connected architecture evidence supports better decisions across participating public bodies.
The pilot programme is a proving phase exploring how information already held by departments and other public sector organisations can be connected, compared and maintained to support evidence led architecture decisions.
The pilot will test an externally supplied SaaS platform, alongside client owned taxonomy, data and access requirements.
As the Senior Product Manager you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working across large, government organisations, connecting multiple organisations together.
- Possess an understanding of pulling data across those organisations, in addition to the processes and challenges this entails.
- Experience as a product owner or product manager for a SaaS or internal platform.
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture practice and how EA tools are used.
- Strong stakeholder management, including senior leaders and external suppliers.
- Experience of agile delivery, including backlogs, user stories and sprint planning.
- Ability to define, track and communicate benefits and success measures.
Desirable skills would be any of the following:
- Hands-on experience with an EA tool such as Ardoq, Avolution ABACUS, SAP LeanIX or Sparx.
- Experience running or developing a shared service across multiple organisations.
- Product management certification (for example BCS, Scrum.org or SAFe).

This role will be predominantly remote working with only the occasional visit to the client site if required.
