Summary: Bolt is seeking a Senior Product Designer to enhance their product strategy and ensure high-quality feature releases. The role involves collaborating across teams to solve complex problems for users and merchants, while also contributing to the product vision. The ideal candidate should possess strong user empathy and a passion for design, with a focus on creating elegant product flows. This position is a contract to permanent hire, emphasizing a remote-first work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally (design, product, engineering, support, GTM, and marketing) to solve problems for both shoppers and merchants
• Iterate on existing Bolt products and help define new opportunity spaces
• Partner with PMs to understand and identify opportunities
• Conduct and execute user research initiatives and communicate findings to product and engineering teams
• Design simple but elegant product flows from start to finish
• Create prototypes to validate solutions
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise quality standards
• Elevate the role of design within the company
• Partner with engineering to ship pixel-perfect designs
• Provide systems thinking that solves design problems at scale

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products
• Proficient with Figma and modern design frameworks
• Proficient using Figma features/tools: Auto Layout 4.0, Component Variants, Interactive Components, Design Tokens, Component Libraries
• Experience with motion graphics and Lottie-like vector animations
• Experience with Fintech products: Cryptocurrency, Banking, E-Commerce, etc.
• Strong fundamentals in visual design and user experience
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work in vague problem spaces
• Comfortable switching between high-level vision thinking and hands-on pixel work
• Experience collaborating with product managers and contributing to team strategy
• Excellent written and visual communication skills
• Ability to digest and compile data to inform design research and recommendations
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to communicate effectively with engineers
