Summary: The Senior/Principal Process Engineer role is a contract position focused on providing technical leadership in the design and optimization of wastewater treatment solutions. The engineer will work across various sectors, including municipal and industrial, and will be responsible for leading engineering activities and collaborating with technical teams. This position offers flexibility with remote work and requires significant experience in the field. The role is outside IR35, allowing for independent contracting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading process design and engineering activities to develop and optimize wastewater treatment solutions
• Evaluating client requirements and supporting the sales team in bids and proposals
• Collaborating with technical teams on process design, mass balance calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, and control philosophies
• Conducting site visits, R&D trials, and working with key stakeholders to develop winning solutions
• Coaching and mentoring teams while ensuring strong technical governance

Key Skills:

• Degree in a relevant technical field
• 10+ years of experience in wastewater/effluent treatment design and optimization
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and technical governance skills
• Experience in process review, team development, and client-facing responsibilities
• Ability to work independently with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
