Senior Process Engineer

Summary: The Senior Process Engineer will join a leading EPC company on a fully remote, initial four to six months contract with potential for extension, classified as outside IR35. The role involves overseeing process engineering deliverables, managing vendor documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in upstream oil and gas projects. The engineer will provide technical guidance, support construction teams, and lead safety activities throughout the EPC phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve detailed process engineering deliverables and provide technical guidance to EPC contractors.
• Manage design changes and ensure readiness for construction and commissioning.
• Lead technical reviews of vendor documentation and manage interfaces between vendor packages and EPC systems.
• Participate in EPC-phase process safety activities and close out HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL action items.
• Provide day-to-day process engineering support to construction teams and review construction queries.
• Develop system commissioning procedures and support dynamic commissioning and start-up troubleshooting.
• Review and approve final documentation and manage completion and turnover dossiers.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or process engineering.
• Extensive experience in EPC execution of upstream oil & gas facilities, preferably offshore projects.
• Proven track record in topside facilities, production separation systems, gas dehydration, and produced water systems.
• Experience in vendor package management during EPC.
• Strong process engineering background, including sizing, simulations, and detailed design finalization.
• Familiarity with major industry standards (API, ISO, IEC, NORSOK).
• Experienced in managing HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA actions during EPC execution.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
