Summary: The Senior Power BI Developer will lead the development and implementation of a new reporting landscape, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining impactful Power BI reports and dashboards. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to translate needs into effective visualizations, utilizing the Monarch ERP system as the primary data source. The developer will also manage the Power BI service workspace and provide training to users for self-service analytics. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, performant, and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards (Page Creation).
- Connect to and transform data from our primary source, the Monarch ERP system, using Power Query.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective visualizations.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, DAX calculations, and report performance optimization.
- Manage the Power BI service workspace, including scheduling data refreshes and managing user access.
- Provide training and support to business users to enable self-service analytics where appropriate.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of published reports.
- Expertise in Power BI Page Creation: designing intuitive layouts, choosing appropriate visualizations, and ensuring an excellent user experience.
