Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on large-scale regeneration, housing and mixed-use schemes
- Supporting complex planning applications
- Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment matters
- Community Infrastructure Levy and viability issues
- Highways, infrastructure and statutory processes
- Compulsory Purchase Orders
- Judicial Review and planning appeals
- Advisory work for developers, funds, authorities and institutional investors
- Leading on discrete workstreams and delivering high-quality written advice
- Supporting the partner in progressing several active major schemes
Key Skills:
- 5+ PQE (guideline) in Planning, Public Law, Infrastructure or a closely related discipline
- Strong experience handling complex planning matters
- Experience in CPO, EIA, viability or JR is beneficial but not essential
- Strong drafting and written advocacy skills
- Able to manage demanding workloads with minimal supervision
- Available immediately or at short notice

Description
Due to a surge in major project workloads, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor to join on an interim basis. You will work closely with the Partner and senior team members across a broad range of contentious and primarily non-contentious planning matters, including:
- Advising on large-scale regeneration, housing and mixed-use schemes
- Supporting complex planning applications
- Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment matters
- Community Infrastructure Levy and viability issues
- Highways, infrastructure and statutory processes
- Compulsory Purchase Orders
- Judicial Review and planning appeals
- Advisory work for developers, funds, authorities and institutional investors
- You will be expected to lead on discrete workstreams, deliver high-quality written advice, and support the partner in progressing several active major schemes.
Profile
