Summary: The Senior People Operations Specialist (Temporary) will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing internal programs that support employee experiences at Lattice during a critical period. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is adept at managing a variety of responsibilities related to People Operations. The role encompasses onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and process improvements, directly impacting the employee journey. The specialist will also leverage data to identify trends and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key partner in day-to-day People Operations support, responding to employee inquiries and supporting benefits administration.
- Execute and maintain People programs such as onboarding/offboarding, leave tracking, benefits, compensation cycles, and compliance workflows.
- Collaborate with process owners to draft and maintain policies and practices in Notion; support internal knowledge sharing.
- Support unemployment claims processing, COBRA subsidy tracking in Kept, and updates related to Lattice's benefits tools.
- Monitor and triage incoming mail/shipment via our virtual mailbox and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain and improve People team resources and employee help content, identifying content gaps and standardizing updates.
- Own documentation and process improvement work related to contingent workforce onboarding and offboarding.
- Use employee inquiry data to surface trends, identify opportunities to automate or improve the employee experience, and reduce manual work.
- Provide general project support across compliance internal tools and systems.
- Own the administration of required annual trainings, ensuring timely completion, tracking compliance, and escalating as needed to meet internal and legal standards.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhance efficiency by leading cross-functional initiatives that promote operational excellence.
- Actively identify employee-centered improvements and participate in improvement projects, driving standardization, simplification, and automation of relevant processes.
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations or a related field, with strong knowledge of core HR processes and best practices.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats with breadth of experience across HR domains.
- Adaptable and curious, energized by change and seeking better ways of doing things.
- Proficiency with HR systems and tools, and comfort using tech to streamline operations and documentation.
- Strong process improvement and project management skills, with a track record of implementing changes that drive efficiency.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends in data and translate them into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; works well with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks with ease.
- A proactive problem-solver excited to navigate ambiguity and deliver people-centered solutions.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive information, with good judgment on when to escalate.
