Senior Developer - Outside IR35 - Remote

Harvey Nash's Client are hiring a contract Senior Developer, you'll be an integral part of the development team joining as the company goes through an exciting period of change and improvement driven by a new technical leadership team. You'll be a truly full-stack developer writing both client-side code in Angular.JS and back-end code in C#, WebAPI and ASP.NET MVC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as part of the scrum teams to develop features according to business priorities.
• Write code using industry best practices (SOLID Principles, Design Patterns etc)
• Optimise and improve the legacy codebase to increase performance and maintainability.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior developers.
• Contribute to the scrum development process: sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Identify areas of technical debt and propose solutions to address them effectively.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Extensive experience in developing web applications and APIs in .NET ASP MVC, Web API and C#.
• Experience with both Angular.JS and Angular is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively in a remote working environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior development role
• Comfortable working on complex legacy codebases

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Proficiency in SQL Server and writing SQL Queries, stored procs, views, functions and transactions
• Azure SQL Server experience
• Azure DevOps experience (pipelines etc)
• Experience of Cloud-based development using Azure.
