Summary: This role is for a Senior MySQL DBA specializing in AWS Aurora, offering an opportunity to work with a leading B2B SaaS tech company focused on AI-powered software engineering. The position requires deep expertise in MySQL and AWS Aurora, particularly in upgrading from version 2 to version 3, and involves collaboration with various teams in a fast-paced environment. The contract is fully remote and outside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep DBA expertise with MySQL and AWS Aurora.
  • Experience upgrading MySQL Aurora 2 to MySQL Aurora 3.
  • Proven track record of query optimisation, schema tuning and indexing strategies in production environments.
  • Expertise with cloud native databases and performance optimisation in AWS.
  • Extensive experience of database monitoring, profiling and troubleshooting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with large scale database upgrades and migrations.
  • Outstanding communications skills and proven ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers and cloud ops teams.
  • Ability to start within 2 weeks.
