Summary: The Senior Mulesoft Developer role involves developing clean, maintainable code while adhering to SOLID principles, primarily focusing on integration and service optimization. The position requires collaboration with various teams to manage data exchange and ensure compliance with quality guidelines. The role is remote with occasional site visits in Hampshire and is classified as inside IR35. The contract is initially for 6 months at a daily rate of £585.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the exchange of data between different Back End services and Front End applications, including third-party API integration.
- Development of all Server Side logic, ensuring business logic is implemented and fully testable.
- Introducing and owning technical user stories for integration and service optimisation.
- Documenting solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensuring compliance with quality guidelines, including Unit Tests and Test Driven Development.
- Addressing non-functional requirements during conception and implementation.
- Supporting and improving releases from test to integration and production environments.
- Presenting and demonstrating concepts and services through various formats.
- Following agile software development life cycles while managing technical debt and documentation.
Key Skills:
- Delivering integration micro-service patterns using Mulesoft best practices.
- Applying SOLID principles and creating clean code.
- Hands-on experience in designing RAML, REST API design, flow control, and error handling.
- Strong working experience with the Mulesoft catalyst-based approach.
- Knowledge of Anypoint platform cloudhub architecture and related cloud concepts.
- Developing common error handling and logging frameworks.
- Experience with the entire API development life cycle.
- Expertise in Batch message processing, Salesforce, and database connectors.
- Extended knowledge of MUnit and test-driven development.
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment using various tools.

The Developer primary role is to develop clean code, adhering to SOLID principles that is well tested, performant and maintainable.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the exchange of data between different Back End services (owned by separate development teams) and Front End application and third party API integration
- Development of all Server Side logic, working with BA and Quality Assurance to ensure business logic is implemented as required and fully testable
- Introducing and owning technical user stories for integration and service optimisation
- Documenting solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, clear code and via Confluence/knowledge base articles
- Ensuring compliance with quality guidelines (Unit Tests, Code Quality, Test Driven Development)
- Addressing non-functional requirements and operational/support-relevant topics during conception and implementation (eg logging, capacity/performance management, monitoring and distributed tracing/debugging)
- End-to-end thinking during development - supporting and improving releases from test to integration and production environments
- Presentation and demonstration of concepts and services via show-and-tell demos, tech-talks and taking part in direct user feedback and evaluation sessions
- Following agile software development life cycles, but maintaining foresight to reduce tech debt where possible and not at the cost of good documentation, test automation and non-functional considerations
