Summary: The Senior Microsoft Fabric Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This role involves optimizing data models and ensuring high standards of data quality and performance while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The engineer will also enable reporting and analytics using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Python, and act as a subject matter expert within the community. The position requires extensive experience in data engineering and proficiency in relevant technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
  • Build and optimize data models, lakehouses, and data warehouses
  • Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Enable reporting and analytics using Power BI, SQL, and Python
  • Optimize ETL/ELT processes and data architecture for performance and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues
  • Act as a subject matter expert and contribute as a Fabric Super User / Community Leader

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or related roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (data pipelines, dataflows, lakehouses, warehouses)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, SSMS, or similar platforms
  • Solid understanding of: Data architecture, Data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, Performance optimization
  • Proven experience working with diverse data sources
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to pass a federal background check
