Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to gather Supply Chain Management requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and design solutions for procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation, and master planning integrated with Dynamics 365 Finance.
  • Configure Dynamics 365 F&O SCM modules, including Product Information Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Purchase Orders, Inventory Management, Inventory Journals, Warehouse Management (WMS), Quality Control, and Production Orders, with a focus on automation and scalability.
  • Lead data migration for master and transactional data, including items, vendors, and locations, using Data Management Framework (DMF), ensuring validation for multi-site USA and India implementations.
  • Configure financial postings for procure-to-pay processes and inventory valuation compliant with US GAAP and Indian statutory requirements.
  • Design and oversee integrations with external systems such as third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers.
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, user training, hypercare, and production support while resolving SCM issues across global teams and time zones.
  • Collaborate with technical architects on solution extensions and contribute to pre-sales activities, demonstrations, RFP responses, reusable assets, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Mentor junior consultants on best practices, release updates, and reusable SCM templates to accelerate future implementations.
  • Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options while optimizing development, maintenance, and performance through proven design patterns and reusable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Functional Design Specifications, deployment documentation, design documents, templates, standards, and process guidelines.
  • Perform design reviews, peer code reviews, and recommend code improvements to maintain high-quality delivery standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for build, deployment, and production support issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Interpret application and component designs, validate solutions with users, integrate end-to-end solutions, and manage release execution.
  • Participate in ERP/CRM practice initiatives, including case studies, reusable assets, knowledge-sharing sessions, internal seminars, hackathons, and practice development.
  • Support project planning through requirement analysis, effort estimation, sprint planning, resource planning, Agile ceremonies, defect management, documentation, and status reporting.
  • Work closely with customer architects, business stakeholders, and development teams to clarify requirements, present design options, review implementations, and provide technical guidance.
  • Identify technical risks, perform root cause analysis, recommend SMART solutions, and continuously improve solution quality, efficiency, cost, and performance.
  • Mentor and manage project teams by setting goals, providing feedback, conducting technical assessments, supporting career development, and ensuring team engagement.
  • Stay current with new Microsoft technologies, product releases, industry trends, and relevant certifications while sharing knowledge with the broader practice.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8 10 years of ERP and Supply Chain consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Experience delivering three or more full lifecycle Dynamics 365 F&O SCM implementations.
  • Experience supporting USA and India implementations, including localization, multi-warehouse environments, and Agile onshore/offshore delivery models.
  • Proven expertise in high-volume supply chain environments, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and advanced Warehouse Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MB-330 and MB-300 are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for global workshops and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on out-of-the-box (OOTB) configurations to minimize customizations.
  • Ability to lead global teams, mentor consultants, and drive operational excellence
