Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IBM z/OS technologies, IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz), and Dependency Based Build (DBB). The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise mainframe applications while supporting modern DevOps and CI/CD practices for mainframe environments.
Required Skills MUST
- Strong experience in Mainframe Development
- Hands-on experience with:
- COBOL
- JCL
- DB2
- VSAM
- CICS
- Experience with IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz)
- Experience with Dependency Based Build (DBB) - MUST
- Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Endevor/Changeman version control
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Work with IDz for development and debugging activities
- Implement and maintain DBB build pipelines
- Integrate mainframe applications with DevOps and CI/CD tools
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and deployment support
- Analyze production issues and provide fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with z/OS modernization projects
- Knowledge of REXX and Shell scripting
- Exposure to APIs and mainframe integration tools
- Banking/Insurance domain experience is a plus
