Contract Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Python, GenAI/RAG - Inside IR35 - £500/day - Remote

RecOps is partnered with a leading consultancy looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to support an insurance client, building and maintaining production AI and Generative AI systems.

The work focuses on LLM applications, RAG and document processing, with a strong emphasis on hands-on Python engineering, deployment, evaluation and production reliability.

This is a fully remote contract, paying £500 per day inside IR35.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on Python engineering, including backend/API development
• Experience building and deploying production ML and GenAI applications
• LLMs, RAG, vector search and agentic AI workflows
• Model and LLM evaluation, monitoring, guardrails and troubleshooting
• Cloud experience (ideally Azure), Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD

Desirable:

• FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or MLflow
• Experience working in insurance, financial services or regulated environments
