Position: Senior/Lead AWS Golden AMI Platform Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ months
We do not need a true lead but that type of experience would be a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies, DevOps processes, and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, maintaining, and supporting AWS Golden AMIs in enterprise environments.
- Experience automating the AMI lifecycle, including image creation, testing, patching, versioning, distribution, and maintenance.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices such as Harness, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or similar.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, hosting, and application infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud security, infrastructure hardening, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
