Senior Java Developer Swindon (Remote) Contract Role- Up to £575 inside IR35 (4 months Initially) iO Associates is working with a leading public-sector-backed organisation on a major digital transformation programme. Their platform is responsible for managing and distributing billions of pounds of innovation funding each year, and they're expanding the engineering team to support a series of new initiatives, including increased automation, improved security, and the exploration of AI-driven solutions. They're now looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative, mission-led team building and supporting a large, high-availability platform used across the UK.
The Role: You'll play a key part in developing Java-based services and microservices, contributing to a system that runs 24/7 and is deployed via containerised, zero-downtime releases on AWS. This is a hands-on engineering role within a modern Scrum team where you'll design, build, test, and support production-ready software. You'll also have the chance to mentor junior developers, influence development standards, and contribute to system improvements that enhance performance, security, and user experience.
