Role: Senior IT Project Manager, Shop Floor Applications

Location: REMOTE—candidates based in Texas or surrounding states preferred.
Contract: 6 months with the possibility of extension.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager, to support technology initiatives within a large-scale global manufacturing environment.

This role will focus on projects tied to shop floor / plant applications, partnering closely with IT, PMO leadership, and plant stakeholders across multiple locations.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong ownership, proactive communication, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, fluid environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving projects forward with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects supporting plant and shop floor systems
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and success criteria
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and financial tracking
• Partner directly with plant leadership, directors, and cross-functional teams
• Drive proactive communication of project status, risks, and milestones
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues—taking ownership of resolution
• Ensure alignment with PMO processes, including documentation and change control
• Submit and manage change requests when projects deviate from plan
• Create clear, concise executive-level reporting and presentations
• Maintain strong documentation, meeting notes, and consistent stakeholder updates
• Motivate teams and drive accountability to meet project objectives

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager
• Experience delivering projects in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments
• Strong understanding of shop floor systems, ERP integrations, or plant applications
• Proven ability to manage project financials, timelines, and reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
• Experience operating within a structured PMO environment (governance, documentation, change control)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented
