Summary: The Senior Integration Engineer (Workato) role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade integration and automation solutions in both cloud and on-premise environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain integration solutions using Workato.
- Build scalable automation workflows, recipes, and orchestration processes across multiple enterprise systems.
- Integrate cloud, SaaS, and on-premise applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Webhooks, JSON, and XML.
- Develop data mapping, transformation, synchronization, and automation processes.
- Implement and support workflow automation for business processes, approvals, notifications, and operational activities.
- Design secure integrations leveraging OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, API Keys, and SSO technologies.
- Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Establish logging, alerting, exception handling, and operational support mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and product teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, release planning, testing, and production deployments.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to integration best practices, standards, and governance.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, middleware, or systems integration.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing integrations using Workato.
- Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Webhooks, JSON, XML, and data transformation and mapping.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, and similar applications.
- Strong understanding of API security and authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
