Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, connectors, and integrations using Python and Java.
- Build reusable services, libraries, SDKs, and integration accelerators to support enterprise identity and security initiatives.
- Design RESTful APIs and event-driven integration services across SaaS, cloud, security, HR, ITSM, and custom enterprise applications.
- Develop automated unit, integration, regression, and security testing frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed systems, integrations, and production environments.
- Design and implement integrations between Okta and enterprise platforms using REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, webhooks, and SDKs.
- Develop custom connectors and integrations when out-of-the-box solutions do not meet business requirements.
- Support identity lifecycle processes including provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, governance, and certifications.
- Build integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, ServiceNow, HRIS platforms, SaaS applications, and cloud services.
- Design and develop integrations supporting AI agents, copilots, and agentic applications.
- Implement solutions leveraging MCP (Model Context Protocol), Okta MCP Bridge, and Okta AI Agent Gateway.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement secure software development practices, logging, monitoring, auditing, and CI/CD automation.
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on software development and systems integration experience.
- Strong programming expertise in both Python and Java.
- Experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, integration services, and backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot and REST-based microservices architecture.
- Experience building APIs, automation services, integration solutions, or backend applications using Python.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, webhooks, and distributed system architectures.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and modern authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Proficiency with modern development tools such as VS Code, PyCharm, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or similar IDEs.
- Experience with Git, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
