Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver and maintain secure, resilient infrastructure and platform services across the organisation.
You'll bring strong hands-on experience with Linux, Terraform, Docker, AWS, Bash and Python, alongside a solid understanding of security principles. You'll help ensure systems are designed, configured and operated to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of organisational data and services.
The role
Working within a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, you'll build, administer, support and maintain secure, compliant solutions in line with departmental policies, security standards and industry best practice.
You'll take a user-, service- and risk-focused approach, championing security best practice and driving automation and continuous improvement. You'll also work with teams across the organisation, providing expert guidance on:
- Secure environments and infrastructure hardening
- Configuration management
- Identity and access management
- Vulnerability management and monitoring
- Incident response and operational resilience
Your work will help keep critical services secure, available and resilient in the face of evolving cyber threats.
Essential experience
Active SC clearance
Strong experience with Linux, Terraform, Docker and AWS
Proficiency in Bash and Python
A practical understanding of security principles and secure infrastructure operations
Experience maintaining reliable, resilient and compliant services
Strong communication skills and the ability to advise and collaborate across teams
