Position Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior IBM Mainframe Administrator to support and maintain enterprise mainframe systems. This role involves installation, configuration, security administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of IBM z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will work independently, provide technical leadership, and guide less experienced staff.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Overall Experience:

    • Senior-level: 85+ months of relevant mainframe experience

  • z/OS Platform:

    • 48 months supporting mainframe software on IBM z/OS

  • Security & Identity Management:

    • 48 months managing z/OS security certificates, user/account administration with RACF, and LDAP

  • Mainframe Middleware & Scheduling:

    • 36 months installing, configuring, and supporting:

      • IBM JCL

      • CICS

      • CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG)

      • IBM MQ on z/OS

      • IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)

  • Database Experience:

    • 36 months working with IBM DB2

  • Programming & Development:

    • 36 months of COBOL programming on IBM z/OS, including:

      • Monitoring production workloads

      • Systems analysis and design

      • Program compiles

      • Unit and integrated testing

      • Performing global changes in COBOL/JCL environments

      • Modifying JCL and PROCs

  • Production Support & Troubleshooting:
