Summary: The Senior Guidewire Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in a large-scale transformation program within the insurance sector, focusing on PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. This position requires extensive Guidewire expertise and the ability to bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams in an agile environment. The role involves leading requirements gathering, facilitating workshops, and ensuring alignment with insurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience in managing complex insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering across Policy, Billing, and Claims workstreams
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with Guidewire architects and development teams to ensure accurate solution design
- Facilitate workshops with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations stakeholders
- Support configuration and integration activities across the full SDLC
- Perform gap analysis and propose functional enhancements
- Validate delivered functionality through UAT planning, test case creation, and defect triage
- Ensure alignment with insurance processes and regulatory requirements
Key Skills:
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst within insurance or large-scale transformation programmes
- 3+ years hands-on Guidewire experience (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter)
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance processes, product structures, rating, underwriting, and claims
- Proven experience writing user stories, functional specs, process flows, and data mappings
- Solid knowledge of Guidewire configuration, integration patterns, and API interactions
- Experience working with SI partners and multi-vendor delivery environments
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
