Senior Go Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance Go-based services and microservices.
• Build scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
• Develop and support APIs and backend systems powering customer onboarding and internal platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver new product functionality.
• Drive improvements in code quality through testing, automation, monitoring, and continuous refactoring.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
• Analyse system performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Extensive commercial Go development experience.
• Strong AWS cloud and microservices architecture experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies (Lambda).
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitoring and observability experience using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, or similar.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working within Agile environments.

Nice-to-Have

• React or other front-end framework experience.
• GraphQL experience.
• TDD, BDD, and automated testing expertise.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale distributed systems.
