Summary: The Senior Full Stack Developer & AI Engineer role is a fully remote position focused on leading the design and development of AI-powered applications for a technology consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for both front-end and back-end architecture, ensuring high-quality standards and technical leadership. This position requires strong experience in modern JavaScript frameworks and back-end engineering, particularly with AI solutions. An immediate start is available for a contract lasting 4-6 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and build of end-to-end AI-powered applications, from initial architecture through to production deployment.
- Architect scalable Back End services and intuitive Front End interfaces that expose AI capabilities to enterprise users.
- Design and implement agentic AI systems, including orchestration patterns, tool integration, and evaluation approaches.
- Set technical direction and best practices across the full stack, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design input, and hands-on problem solving.
- Contribute to reusable components and frameworks that accelerate delivery across engagements.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience delivering full stack applications using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, with React or similar on the frontend.
- Proven Back End engineering capability in Python and or Node.js, including API design and service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions using large language models and related frameworks.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms and modern deployment patterns such as containerisation, serverless, and CI/CD.
- Strong data fundamentals, including SQL, data modelling, and integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to lead technically, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and operate confidently in ambiguous problem spaces.
