Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial reporting process and coordinate the Group's financial reporting requirements.
- Support the production of Service Level Agreements and associated budgets.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the Group's financial management system.
- Manage the Group's External Audit and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Provide comprehensive financial advice and training for financial services.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including Regulators and Auditors.
- Manage staffing within the team, ensuring effective leadership and development.
- Provide support to ensure smooth delivery of Finance Team services during busy periods.
- Meet appraisal targets and support overall business objectives.
Key Skills:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalent.
- Experience in producing statutory accounts.

- Public Sector or Housing experience (Essential).

Senior Financial Accountant FTC (12 months) Fully remote £60k Liverpool
Senior Financial Accountant required for one of our not for profit organisations based in Liverpool on a 12 month FTC. The Senior Financial Accountant will manage a team of 2 and coordinate the provision of the Financial Management and Statutory Accounting functions, overseeing operations including financial/statutory accounts production and consolidated budget/accounts production.
Responsibilities;
- Responsible for the management of the financial reporting process, co-ordination of the Groups financial reporting requirements and processes, including the preparation of the consolidated annual budget.
- Support the production of the groups Service Level Agreements in conjunction with senior management and associated budget holders.
- Manage and oversee the update, maintenance, accuracy, and integrity of the Groups financial management system, including system development, report writing, and database administration functions.
- Manage, oversee, and co-ordinate the Group’s External Audit, ensuring that the Group complies with its regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Manage the provision of comprehensive financial advice and training for any financial services provided, ensuring that management and statutory accounts are produced in accordance with required standards.
- Assist with any other regulatory returns as required.
- Liaise as appropriate with the Groups key stakeholders including Regulators, Internal and External Auditors, and other third party or voluntary partners of the Group, including attendance at Board, Committee, and EMT if required.
- Manage staffing within the responsibility of the post holder, ensuring teams are appropriately led, motivated, and developed to allow them to carry out their work effectively.
- Provide cover and support as and when necessary to ensure the smooth delivery of wider Finance Team services, to minimise the disruption of core services during busy periods.
- Meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.
Skills & Knowledge;
- Ideal candidate will be either ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalent
- Experience with producing statutory accounts
- Experience in managing a small team finance
- Public Sector or Housing experience (Essential)
