Summary: This role is for a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant / Developer at Untangle Tech, a London-based IT services startup. The position is fully remote and requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, focusing on developing and implementing high-quality custom solutions. The consultant will work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions while ensuring adherence to Microsoft standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Design and implement scalable, high-quality customisations aligned with Microsoft standards.
- Understand F&O architecture, data model, security framework, and performance optimisation.
- Build and support integrations using OData, REST APIs, and Azure services.
- Work with functional consultants to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Manage data migration, extensions refactoring, and legacy code clean-up.
- Produce clear technical design and implementation documentation.
- Support UAT, go-live, and post-deployment phases.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Expertise in X++, extensions, and F&O development best practices.
- Experience with Dual-write, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 CE / CRM integrations.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, LCS, and environment management.
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
- Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certifications preferred.

Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant / Developer.
Responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience developing solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Deep expertise in X++, extensions, event handlers, and F&O development best practices
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, high-quality customisations aligned with Microsoft standards
- Strong understanding of F&O architecture, data model, security framework, and performance optimisation
- Hands-on experience with Dual-write, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 CE / CRM integrations between F&O and the Power Platform
- Experience building and supporting integrations using OData, REST APIs, Data Management Framework (DMF), Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions
- Ability to work closely with functional consultants and CRM teams to translate business requirements into end-to-end solutions
- Experience with Azure DevOps, LCS, build and release pipelines, and environment management
- Hands-on experience with data migration, extensions refactoring, and legacy code clean-up
- Strong capability in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues
- Ability to produce clear technical design and implementation documentation
- Experience supporting UAT, go-live, and post-deployment / hypercare phases
- Prior experience with Dynamics AX (AX 2012 or earlier) migrations to F&O is a plus, but not essential
- Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certifications preferred
