Summary: The Senior Enterprise Architect role focuses on establishing a Data Architecture practice for a leading energy provider, with an emphasis on leveraging the Collibra application. The position requires extensive experience in data engineering and architecture, particularly within Fortune 300 environments. The architect will lead initiatives to transform data management and governance, preparing the organization for AI adoption. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership and the Data Governance team to enhance the organization's data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and define the Data Architecture practice and standards for the enterprise.
- Design and oversee large-scale data engineering projects and data ecosystems.
- Support the Data Governance team by leveraging Collibra for data asset management and meter data reads.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and architectural roadmaps.
- Act as a high-level consultant to the business, leading monthly meetings with VPs and Senior Leadership to report on progress and strategy.
- Bridge the gap between complex middleware projects and long-term data strategy.
Key Skills:
- EA (enterprise architecture, data engineering, large projects in data engineering).
- 8-15 years of experience in Senior Data Architecture roles.
- Proven experience working within Fortune 300-500 environments (e.g., Microsoft, major financial or tech firms).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with the Collibra application.
- Extensive background in Data Engineering and managing large data projects.
- Demonstrated experience in building or significantly maturing a Data Architecture practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with middleware integration projects (preferred).
- Specific experience with meter data assets or large-scale utility data (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling for AI/ML readiness (preferred).
