Senior EDI Developer :: Remote :: W2 Position

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior EDI Developer with strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) to design, develop, and support enterprise EDI integrations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable EDI solutions, developing business processes and maps, troubleshooting complex integration issues, and providing technical leadership to distributed teams. This role requires a hands-on developer with deep knowledge of EDI standards, communication protocols, APIs, and integration best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v5.2.6 or higher).
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support for EDI solutions.
• Develop and enhance Business Processes (BPML), maps, workflows, and integration components.
• Lead the technical execution of EDI and integration projects while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Translate solution architecture into scalable, secure, and maintainable implementations.
• Develop and maintain EDI maps for ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, JSON, CSV, and Flat Files.
• Configure and support communication protocols including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and VAN.
• Build and integrate APIs and web services to support enterprise integration requirements.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce development best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve complex defects, and serve as the technical escalation point.
• Ensure security, encryption, authentication, logging, monitoring, scalability, and high availability across EDI solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, QA teams, and global delivery teams throughout the SDLC.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and integration frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) version 5.2.6 or later.
• Strong experience developing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting enterprise EDI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Business Process (BPML) development in IBM Sterling Integrator.
• Extensive experience developing EDI maps for:
• ANSI X12
• EDIFACT
• XML
• cXML
• JSON
• CSV
• Flat Files
• Strong understanding of EDI communication protocols including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and VAN.
• Experience working with DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and file transfer technologies.
• Strong knowledge of EDI architecture, integration design, and implementation planning.
