Summary: The role of Senior Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Developer involves working within a multi-disciplined squad to build enterprise-grade services using Dynamics and Power Apps in a cloud-first environment. The position requires proactive accountability for squad deliveries, as well as the investigation and resolution of system issues. This is a 6-month remote contract with occasional visits to Newport, and the role falls inside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, configure, test, and document complex applications in a cloud-first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in MS Azure.
- Configure and customize model-driven and canvas apps.
- Develop Power Automate Flows via connectors to the Dataverse and other data sources.
- Integrate PowerApps with other Azure components such as Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
- Collaborate with test engineers to understand acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage.
- Share knowledge and expertise with the team and promote a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Identify and manage defects, incidents, risks, and issues according to IPO standards.
- Deliver user-focused digital services while adhering to governance standards.
- Implement toolkits and APIs for integration, performance optimization, security, and scalability.
- Ensure team testing and build activities follow agreed governance and processes.
- Apply HMG IA technical security controls according to ISO 27001 & the Security Policy Framework.
- Engage stakeholders to build collaborative relationships outside the team.
- Inspire others and drive progress within the team.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with MS Dynamics CRM and/or PowerApps platform.
- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and Typescript.
- Key player in delivering technical solutions for large projects.
- Experience with modern delivery models such as Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Advocate of DevOps principles.
- Experience working in a Microsoft Azure Cloud-first team.
- Desirable: Experience with Unit Testing, Git or another source control tool, RESTful web services, and understanding of architectural principles such as SOA and Micro-Services.

On behalf of the Intellectual Property Office, we are looking for a Senior Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6 month remote contract with occasional, (once a month), visits to Newport.
As a Senior Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Developer, you will work within a multi-disciplined squad using several technologies to build enterprise grade services. You will be expected to be proactive and take accountability for the squad assigned deliveries. The role will also require the investigation, diagnosis and fix of any system issues.
Main Duties
Technical
. Be responsible for the design, coding, configuration, testing and documentation of large, complex or mission critical applications in a cloud first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in MS Azure
. Configure and customise both model model-driven and canvas apps
