Summary: The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will assess and enhance the platform architecture in line with best practices, focusing on performance and maturity within a high-availability environment. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategic changes. The ideal candidate will have strong GitLab experience and a proven background in DevSecOps practices. The position is fully remote and offers a contract outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current platform architecture for alignment with reference architecture principles.
- Evaluate ecosystem maturity, particularly DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and platform performance.
- Design and implement architectural changes that support zero-downtime upgrades, leveraging GitLab GEO features.
- Analyse current artifact management solutions (handling 7PB+ in Artifactory) and recommend improvements.
- Champion scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure platform design across the organisation.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in DevSecOps, with a deep understanding of modern CI/CD ecosystems.
- Strong background in platform architecture and infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab, ideally including GitLab GEO.
- Designing and operating high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working in or with the automotive industry is a plus.

My client is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, who has strong GitLab experience to assess and evolve their platform architecture in alignment with best-in-class reference models. In this critical role, you'll evaluate the performance and maturity of the platform and DevSecOps ecosystem, helping them to scale and innovate across a complex, high-availability environment.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify and implement strategic changes.
