Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to automation initiatives, setting technical direction and best practices
  • Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code across AWS environments
  • Build self-service automation and tooling to reduce operational friction and manual work
  • Develop systems that support self-healing and self-diagnosing infrastructure
  • Automate monitoring, metrics collection, and performance analysis
  • Produce clear, technical documentation for both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Balance and execute across multiple concurrent initiatives with minimal supervision

Key Skills:

  • Strong Linux systems engineering background
  • Proficiency in Shell or Python scripting
  • Hands-on experience automating AWS infrastructure using Boto3, AWS CLI, or similar
  • Strong Ansible experience for configuration management and orchestration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot Linux systems, analyze logs, and perform root-cause analysis
  • Deep familiarity with AWS services and architectures
  • AWS DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect Associate certification preferred

Senior DevOps Engineer

This role is for a senior, hands-on DevOps engineer supporting cloud-first infrastructure and automation initiatives. You’ll work deep in Linux and AWS, building repeatable infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code, while helping modernize how teams deploy, monitor, and operate systems at scale.

The company is located in Reston, VA and will remain 100% remote.
