Summary: The role of Senior Data Engineer focuses on building analytical solutions on SAP Data for a six-month mainly remote contract. The position requires extensive experience in SAP BW development and involves working with large SAP BW installations and various analytical tools. The candidate will also engage in Agile methodologies and team collaboration to meet stakeholder needs. This dual role combines technical expertise with a passion for teamwork and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop analytical solutions on SAP Data, primarily using SAP BW.
- Work with large and volume intense SAP BW installations.
- Deploy analytical features on SAP BW and other SAP OLTP systems.
- Utilize products from Microsoft, Google, and other tools to fulfill stakeholder analytical needs.
- Collaborate in an Agile team setup, facilitating Scrum events and driving development.
- Engage in problem-solving to find coding solutions in complex situations.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in SAP BW development.
- Experience in at least 3 full life cycle implementations on SAP BW or BW/4HANA with HANA modelling.
- Extensive experience with SAP BW Retail scenarios and Data Sources.
- Experience with Front End analytics using SAP Analytics Cloud and PowerBI.
- Experience with Datasphere and CDS Views based data modelling.
- Experience in Data Volume Management and Integrated Planning/BPC.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a great team player in an Agile environment.

Required for a six month (mainly remote) contract, a highly capable Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about building analytical solutions on SAP Data.
As a senior Data Engineer in the SAP Analytics Platform product, you will work with large and volume intense SAP BW installations.
Analytical features will be deployed on SAP BW, and other SAP OLTP systems. You will also use several products from Microsoft, Google, and other tools in order to fulfil stakeholder analytical needs.
This dual role offers a unique opportunity to combine SAP BW skills with a passion for Agile methodologies and team collaboration.
Qualifications
- A Data engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in SAP BW development
- Experience in at least 3 full life cycle implementations on SAP BW or BW/4HANA with HANA modelling
- Extensive experience from SAP BW Retail scenarios and Data Sources:
- General Ledger, Billing (SAP ECC)
- Inventory Management (SAP ECC)
- POS-data (SAP CAR)
- Warehouse transactions (SAP EWM) - Experience with Front End analytics using SAP Analytics Cloud, PowerBI.
- Experience with Datasphere
- Experience with CDS Views based data modelling, Data integration, and provisioning to-and-from SAP BW.
- Experience in Data Volume Management.
- Experience in Integrated Planning/BPC
- A great team player in an Agile team setup, willing to take different kinds of tasks to meet sprint commitment and to reach our goal together.
- Facilitating the events required by Scrum and ensuring that the team is actively driving development.
- Have strong problem-solving skills - able to find coding solutions in complex situations.
