Summary: The Senior Data Engineer role focuses on leading complex data migrations across ERP platforms for a high-impact transformation program. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data integrity and a seamless transition. This is a 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, primarily remote with occasional on-site workshops in the UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP data migration and strong technical skills in ETL processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data migration processes from legacy systems to modern ERP platforms
- Design and implement ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Develop data mapping rules and transformation logic
- Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation throughout migration
- Support testing, go-live, and post-migration activities
Key Skills:
- Proven expertise in ERP data migration across platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Infor
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL tools (e.g., SAP BODS, Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory)
- Familiarity with master data and transactional data structures in ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
